'Sheriff Fatman' - Carter USM
Currently going through a phase of wanting to listen to non-stop Carter songs, for - just like the Inspirals, who I seem to feature plentiful - they enjoyed consistent chart success throughout the early 1990s, but when Britpop arrived decided to fade into the distance rather than adapt like the Charlatans did.
And that sleeve artwork of a guitar covered in those stickers found in Sugar Puffs packets neck first in the toilet as a bottle of Jif with the ‘J’ coloured in black marker pen looks on - one of my personal faves!
