Super Excited

Remember the old days of Tumblr when new followers were neither bots nor porn?

I pretty much keep the blog intact just so the real Nelson Twins don’t take it.

" از دی که گذشت هیچ ازو یاد مکن فردا که نیامده ست فریاد مکن برنامده و گذشته بنیاد مکن حالی خوش باش..."

از دی که گذشت هیچ ازو یاد مکن
فردا که نیامده ست فریاد مکن
برنامده و گذشته بنیاد مکن
حالی خوش باش و عمر بر باد مکن

For the days passed do not mourn
For the days to come do not groan
Do not be rooted in the past or the future
Be merry now, make not your life a ruin”

This is still a popular, family-run Restaurant, Events Center & Lodge in Jasper, Indiana. They have a glockenspiel that plays on the hour and the half hour.

I don’t know when I’d ever find myself in Indiana but never say never.

I have this very poster from the very same restaurant framed and hung in the house.

Wilderness: A Journal of Quiet Adventure in Alaska, 1920

Rockwell Kent spent seven months living in a goat shed on Fox Island off the coast of Seward, Alaska. During that time, Rockwell and his 9-year-old son refurbished the cabin and sketched together. The sketches made their way into a journal published in 1920.

“It seems that we have…turned out the beaten, crowded way and come to stand face to face with that infinite and unfathomable thing which is wilderness.” - Rockwell Kent

This movie has quite possibly the best fight scene I’ve seen. Bear in mind this movie is fuuuuuucked up. Good, but wow. It takes a turn.

“Life becomes a thing of the past more quickly than the future takes to arrive. That’s why you are so hesitant, so terrified, of taking the leap from yesterday into tomorrow.”

"That weird feeling you get when you are leaving a place, knowing it will probably be the last time..."

“That weird feeling you get when you are leaving a place, knowing it will probably be the last time you ever see it again. The last time that point in your life will ever be in the present. The scenery, the landscapes, and the people you will miss. Right as you drive away, a sudden panic of regret overcomes you. You are almost convinced you might be making a mistake, maybe you want to stay. Then you remember the reason you are leaving in the first place and how much more you have ahead of you. A chapter in your life has ended, but a new chapter is beginning.”
