How Christians Brainwash kids with creationism

Watch and take a look at how many kids are sitting there in call-and-response. I had to stop watching on this particular exchange:

As we move into an era in which the United States will never again have the most scientists, and a period in which the planet will depend on science for answers to grave problems, it frightens me that this form of speech is even protected.



Whatever it is that protects vulnerable groups from slanderous hate speech, can’t it also protect the collective future that depends on science?

Creepy and disturbing.

I think that a lot of people, from a very early age are told that someone else knows better. That they can’t trust their own judgement. That they can’t be expected to make decisions.

I think that a lot of people, from a very early age are taught that being different and having opinions is wrong and that these thoughts and notions should be repressed. Being different is something that is Bad with a capital B. Having independent thoughts is Bad. Learning is Bad.

I imagine that these kids parents spend more time teaching their children about their version of Christianity than they spend teaching their child to read or think independently.

True learning and real knowledge comes from the study of multiple sources. It comes from viewing the world with your eyes and ears open. It is hard to do and it takes years to even begin to start understanding anything. And even then there is still doubt.

I don’t feel like belittling someone’s faith is the answer. As easy as that is to do. But the fight against reason and the fight against real education must end.

You can believe what you like. But if you’re going to take one aspect of the bible and claim that it is fact… Then the entire thing must be fact. If your only source for truth is the bible, then, well, accept all aspects of the bible and not just the ones that were cherry picked because they conform to your idea of what a “moral and just Christian” should be like.

Lets test your faith. Go all in. Go nuts. Make the bible 100% fact and follow every single rule.
