Well, we finished Friends.
I was hoping that they’d pull a Newhart and Joey would wake up and say, “I just had the weirdest dream,” the lean over and take a bite of a meatball sub and go back to sleep.
That would have been a far less anti-climactic ending than what I just saw. Yeah. What a dud.
Ross was unredeemable and whiny.
Rachel didn’t go to Paris.
Phoebe just kind of appeared once in a while.
Joey was the same, background/comedy.
Chandler was ‘meh’.
Monica was irritating.
Remember seasons 1-5? When the show was fun and funny? Then they ran out of funny and just made everyone phone it in, mostly whining the whole time about something.
Monica continued to become more and more spastic and shrill. Ross got more and more needy, clingy, and mopey (and sexist). Chandler was barely present. Rachel kinda turned it around, but the on again off again Ross storyline was to played out by season 6 what was the use of continuing? Joey and Phoebe just acted as comic relief, which is truly unfortunate because they were the two strongest characters on the show all the way through. I found them the most interesting, the most entertaining, and the most consistent.
I was a little grossed by the idea that to be an adult you have to go out on your own, have a baby, buy a house, fall in love, break your foosball table, get married, leave the city, etc.
It was just weak and I really hoped for more. I can’t imagine watching that show over 10 years and having THAT be the end. Yeesh, what a waste.
Plus, WHO THE EVER LIVING FUCK WOULD MOVE OUT OF A RENT CONTROLLED APARTMENT IN THE VILLAGE THAT WAS THAT FUCKING BIG AND LOOKED LIKE THAT?!
That place was like 1200 square feet with two bedrooms, closets, floor to ceiling windows, and a goddamn balcony.
WHAT THE FUCK. Clearly the show was fiction because that’s some fake ass shit right there.
