I’m looking to invest in a headset… I’m tired of using the terrible, broken, germ-ridden headsets that have been passed down through companies since the stone age.
Anyone have a particular model that they are fond of?
Help a girl out. :)Plantronics Starset
I have had a Telex PH-44 for years and it has been rock solid. No head squishing, no glasses smashing, no shitty clearcom headsets, so shitty sennheiser one ear flips back headsets, no junk. If it is your own it’s great. It folds up flat and can slip in a bag. I keep it in a little semi rigid case and have it so I can swap connectors to interface with RTS or Clearcom systems. Simple, basic, easy and lightweight.
I also have a nice behind the head isolating (-24dB) headset for incredibly noisy environments like concerts. It is from Rugged Radios (the H60 model). I can have my radio in one ear and the intercom party line in the other. Dramatically cheaper than David Clark headsets. Plus behind the head means you can fit a helmet over it if you need to like if you’re working in some sketchy venue where they drop shackles.
