Blackout, July 13th, 1977
What I remember about this was that somehow my Mom still had to go to work which meant I still had to go to Day Camp. What she was expected to do in a museum in the dark, I have no idea.
There must’ve been a generator, or something, because there we all were: a bunch of little kids in the auditorium of the Westside Y, all sitting on the floor criss-cross-applesauce watching old Green Hornet episodes. Why the YMCA possessed a large stack of Green Hornet reels, I have no idea.
Anyway, it was AWESOME because, DUH, Kato! Kato was soooooo cool.
I fell madly in love with Bruce Lee during the 1977 blackout.
