(The umbrella, when it comes to the top of your head staying dry the umbrella comes in third after The Hat and The Hood. When it comes to keeping everything else dry, especially in light to heavy rain or light to gale force wind, the umbrella is just about as useful as not carrying an umbrella at all.)
