We received a number of messages about the picture posted this morning and the discussion between myself and Ann, all of which referenced the importance of Sidney’s images and Sala’s story. The fact that 70 years later this story still resonates with so many of us is in large part due to the efforts of survivors, soldiers, journalists and civilians who documented their personal experiences and the devastation of war. I wonder how history will reflect on the atrocities we continue to face today.
