Ira Glass: 'Public Radio Is Ready for Capitalism':

“My hope is that we can move away from a model of asking listeners for money and join the free market,” said WBEZ’s “This American Life” host Ira Glass said after speaking on stage with “Serial” senior producer Julie Snyder. “I think we’re ready for capitalism which made this country so great. Public radio is ready for capitalism,” Mr. Glass said.

The title is a little misleading.

Right or wrong, someone just shut Ira Glass the hell up.

I’m so tired of that guy.

I like This American Life but I hate his voice, his meter, his glasses, his presence.

Ugh. He’s exhausting.

If your intention is to build a laggy crashy mobile app that’s bloated (even after offering the option to dump the cache) from adding more and more ads for businesses with which very few of us do business and providing us empty posts or blogs waiting for something anything to load and doubling-back on posts we’ve already seen with frequent disappearances of the app itself from the mobile app menu, then you’ve succeeded. A+.
